London-based illustrator Josie Shenoy creates intricate illustrations drawing on themes of nature, pattern, traditional decorative arts and a love of storytelling.

Alongside taking on freelance illustration commissions, Josie designs her own collections of greeting cards and giclée art prints which she sells online and to trade. Most recently, Josie has illustrated popular ranges for Anthropologie, Crabtree & Evelyn and the British Museum, and has stocked Foyles, Harrods, and many other well-known shops and museums across London.

Her first picture book for children, The National Archives: The Buildings That Made London is available to order now! The book has just been shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2018, and will be exhibited at Somerset House from 7-20 June, followed by a UK tour. Click here to read more.

Josie illustrates in her lovely bright studio in the heart of Balham, London. Drawing is at the heart of her creative practice. Through a combination of detailed pencil drawing, collage and traditional print methods fused with digital processes, Josie aims to create kaleidoscopic compositions in a palette of vintage colours and textures.
